Sobre o Selo
Para reunir em uma imagem as duas paisagens, uma israelense e outra brasileira, foram criadas duas aquarelas da Praia de Tel Aviv vista de Yafo e Praia do Recife vista de Olinda. No estilo de urban sketching e com a mesma paleta de cores. Para separar e simultaneamente unir as paisagens foi utilizada uma palmeira, elemento comum da flora, apesar das espécies locais serem diferentes. Foi mantida a mesma linha do horizonte e aplicado digitalmente o céu azul aquarelado, no intuito de conferir unidade e coerência cromática à composição. Foram inseridas micro letras com os respectivos nomes das paisagens. As técnicas utilizadas foram aquarela tradicional e nanquim sobre papel com montagem em computação gráfica.
Emissão Conjunta Brasil e Israel
O relacionamento entre Israel e Brasil começou às vésperas do estabelecimento do Estado de Israel, auxiliado pelo estadista brasileiro Osvaldo Aranha, que presidiu a reunião das Nações Unidas em 29 de novembro de 1947 e contribuiu para aprovar a resolução que estabeleceu o estado judeu em Eretz Israel. Embora Israel seja uma das menores nações do planeta e o Brasil é a quinta maior do mundo, as relações bilaterais entre esses dois países estão florescendo.
Eles têm economias compatíveis e suas diferenças permitem uma troca de conhecimentos e recursos com base nos pontos fortes de cada país. Relações diplomáticas completas existem continuamente em todos os campos. Israel e Brasil são sociedades multiculturais de imigrantes pluralistas que apreciam os laços entre pessoas, o sacrifício humano e a unidade que nos fortalecem em nossos momentos mais fortes e fracos. Os países compartilham valores comuns, como o da solidariedade, que tem sido expresso ao longo dos anos em organizações internacionais e por meio de ajuda humanitária e relações diplomáticas.
A diferença entre Jaffa e Tel Aviv, na costa do Mediterrâneo, é notória. Jaffa é uma das cidades mais antigas em Israel, e evidências arqueológicas mostram que surgiu no século 18 a.C. Tel Aviv foi fundada em 1909 como um bairro de Jaffa, foi declarada uma cidade autônoma e tornou-se o centro econômico e cultural israelense. Em 1950, as cidades foram fundidas em um município (Tel Aviv-Jaffa). Jaffa preservou seu caráter antigo, com achados arqueológicos que refletem a história de Israel enquanto Tel Aviv remete à modernidade, com os edifícios no estilo Bauhaus, que são Patrimônio Mundial da UNESCO e a marcam como um vibrante centro de inovação.
Olinda e Recife surgiram na costa do Atlântico no século XVI. Olinda foi fundada em 1535 e Recife em 1537, e durante os primeiros cem anos, as cidades se desenvolveram similarmente. Foram criadas por portugueses que viviam cultivando cana-deaçúcar no rico solo das cidades. A principal catedral da região foi construída em Olinda em 1540. Em 1630, foram conquistadas pelos holandeses que fizeram de Recife a capital. A sinagoga Kahal Zur Israel, a primeira no “novo mundo”, foi fundada em Recife em 1636. Recife é uma cidade moderna com milhões de habitantes enquanto Olinda, que preservou seu caráter antigo e é um Patrimônio Mundial da UNESCO constitui parte da metrópole de Recife.

About the Stamp
In order to combine the two landscapes, one Israeli and the other Brazilian, into one single image, two watercolors were created from Tel Aviv Beach seen from Yafo and Recife Beach seen from Olinda. In the style of urban sketching and with the same color palette. To separate and simultaneously unite the landscapes, a palm tree was used, a common element of flora, although the local species are different. The same horizon line was maintained and the blue watercolored sky was digitally applied, in order to give unity and chromatic coherence to the composition. Micro letters were inserted with the respective landscape names. The techniques used were traditional watercolor and ink on paper with assembly in computer graphics.
Joint-Issue Brazil and Israel
The relations between Israel and Brazil began on the eve of the establishment of the State of Israel, aided by Brazilian statesman Osvaldo Aranha, who chaired the United Nations meeting on November 29, 1947 and contributed to passing the resolution that established the Jewish state in Eretz Israel. Although Israel is one of the smallest nations on the planet and Brazil is the fifth largest in the world, bilateral relations between these two countries are flourishing.
They have compatible economies and their differences allow an exchange of knowledge and resources based on the strengths of each country. Complete diplomatic relations exist continuously in all fields. Israel and Brazil are multicultural societies of pluralist immigrants who appreciate the bonds among people, the human sacrifice and the unity that strengthen us in our strongest and weakest moments. Countries share common values, such as solidarity, which has been expressed over the years in international organizations and through humanitarian aid and diplomatic relations.
The difference between Jaffa and Tel Aviv, on the Mediterranean coast, is striking. Jaffa is one of the oldest cities in Israel, and archaeological evidence shows that it emerged in the 18th century B.C. Tel Aviv was founded in 1909 as a neighborhood in Jaffa, it was declared an autonomous city and became the Israeli economic and cultural center. In 1950, cities were merged into one municipality (Tel Aviv-Jaffa). Jaffa has preserved its ancient character, with archaeological finds that reflect Israel’s history while Tel Aviv refers to modernity, with the Bauhaus-style buildings, which are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and remark it as a vibrant center of innovation.
Olinda and Recife appeared on the Atlantic coast in the 16th century. Olinda was founded in 1535 and Recife in 1537, and during the first hundred years, cities developed similarly. They were created by Portuguese people who made a living by growing sugar cane in the rich soil of cities. The main cathedral in the region was built in Olinda in 1540. In 1630, they were conquered by the Dutch, who made Recife the capital. The Kahal Zur Israel synagogue, the first in the “new world”, was founded in Recife in 1636. Recife is a modern city with millions of inhabitants while Olinda, which has preserved its old character and is a UNESCO World Heritage site, is part of the metropolis of Recife.
