SOBRE O SELO
O selo autoadesivo destaca ao centro a figura de Nossa Senhora Aparecida e, ao fundo, integram a composição da arte elementos gráficos, como um cesto, que remete à temática da pesca, ofício dos três homens que encontraram a pequenina imagem, e as cores do Brasil, País que a aclamou como padroeira. Foram utilizadas as técnicas de fotografia e computação gráfica.
SOBRE O BLOCO
A ilustração do bloco reproduz a cena do encontro da imagem de Nossa Senhora Aparecida pelos três pescadores, no Rio Paraíba do Sul, em 1717. A arte é uma simulação gráfica de aquarela, tendo como base o elemento água, em referência ao local onde foi resgatada a escultura. No título da emissão foi aplicado relevo e verniz localizado. O bloco apresenta um único selo em que se destaca, em primeiro plano, a figura de Nossa Senhora Aparecida e, ao fundo, a redução da imagem da pintura do encontro da santa. Foi aplicado hot stamping dourado na coroa e em detalhes do manto, e hot stamping prateado na base da imagem. As legendas e a moldura do selo foram realçados com tinta dourada. Para composição da arte, foram utilizadas as técnicas de fotografia e computação gráfica.
ABOUT THE STAMP
The self-adhesive stamp highlights the figure of Our Lady of Aparecida, while graphic elements integrate the composition in the background, such as a basket, which refers to the fishing motif, the craft of the three men who found the small figure, and the colors of Brazil, the country that claimed her as its patron saint. Photography and computer graphics techniques were used.
ABOUT THE SOUVENIR SHEET
The souvenir sheet illustration reproduces the scene of the appearance of the figure of Our Lady Aparecida before the three fishermen, in the Rio Paraíba do Sul, in 1717. The artwork is a graphic simulation of watercolor, using the element water as a base, in reference to the place where the sculpture was recovered. Relief and local varnish was applied to the title of the issue. The souvenir sheet presents a unique stamp in which the figure of Our Lady aparecida stands out in the foreground, while the painting of the recovery of the saint is reduced in the background. golden hot stamping was applied on the crown and details of the mantle, while silver hot stamping was applied at the base of the image. The stamp captions and frame were highlighted using golden ink. For the composition of the art, photography and computer graphics techniques were used.

Das redes ao coração dos brasileiros
Surgida nas águas do Rio Paraíba do Sul, uma pequenina imagem da Imaculada Conceição, enegrecida pelo barro do rio se mostrou sinal de Deus no Brasil colonial. Desde então tem sido bênção para todos, peixes em abundância, saúde alcançada e vida cristã reassumida. Nos idos de 1717, havia muita agitação por causa do ouro no Brasil colônia. As disputas preocupavam as autoridades. Por conta disso, Dom João V, Rei de Portugal, na Consulta do conselho Ultramarino nomeou Dom Pedro de Almeida Portugal e Vasconcelos, Governador da Capitania de São Paulo e das Minas. Em sua viagem da Capitania de São Paulo para a de Minas, Dom Pedro, o futuro Conde de Assumar, aproveitou para conhecer cada vila que estava no caminho. E não seria diferente na Vila de Santo Antônio de Guaratinguetá. Mensageiros de sua numerosa comitiva se adiantaram para avisar as autoridades da vila que o Governador chegaria em breve e por isso deveriam providenciar um banquete de boas vindas. Dom Pedro apesar de sua fama de severo e rígido em seus julgamentos, era um homem temente a Deus. Como sua chegada se daria em dia de preceito religioso, era necessária uma pesca farta para sua comitiva. As autoridades convocaram os pescadores da região para que pescassem o quanto fosse possível. Caso contrário, alguma retaliação poderia acontecer. Temendo por suas vidas, os três pescadores, Domingos Garcia, João Alves e Filipe Pedroso saíram para pescar. Mesmo sabendo que não era época propícia para pesca. Fizeram uma prece a Nossa Senhora da Conceição pedindo que os ajudasse e seguiram jogando a rede durante todo o trajeto, mas sem resultado algum. João Alves lançou novamente a rede. Sentiu que havia algo preso na trama, retirou suas malhas da água, e para sua surpresa, apareceu um corpo sem a cabeça de uma imagem de barro, envolto pelo lodo das águas do rio. Mais abaixo no rio, outra vez a rede foi lançada. Recolheram, mas sem entusiasmo... Porém o improvável aconteceu: uma pequenina cabeça surge presa na rede. Ao aproximar o corpo da cabeça, tudo se ajustou perfeitamente. Era uma imagem de Nossa Senhora da Conceição, que por milagre, tinham encontrado nas águas turvas do Rio Paraíba. Aqueles três humildes pescadores sabiam que aquela aparição era um sinal de Deus. Um milagre! A partir daquele dia, tudo mudou! Após o encontro da imagem, a pesca fora abundante. Diante daquele sinal divino, começou de forma maravilhosa a história da devoção a Nossa Senhora que carinhosamente passaram a chamar de Aparecida. Hoje, há 300 anos nas colinas de Aparecida, cada peregrino se alegra com o encontro da Imagem de Nossa Senhora Aparecida naquele outubro de 1717. Nesses três séculos de bênçãos, graças e devoção, podemos afirmar que a fé do povo brasileiro contribuiu para tornar o maior Santuário Mariano do mundo em um local único, com visitação anual de mais de 12 milhões de romeiros, transformando o lugar em um grande centro acolhimento, peregrinação e evangelização.

From the fishing net to the heart of the Brazilian people
Emerged in the waters of the Paraiba do Sul River, a small image of the Immaculate Conception, energized by the clay of the river, showed itself as a sign of God in colonial Brazil. Since then it has been a blessing for all, plenty of fish, health and Christian life reassumed. In the year 1717, there was a lot of agitation due to the gold rush in colonial Brazil. The disputes concerned the authorities. Because of that, Dom Joao V, King of Portugal, during the Overseas Council Consultation, named Dom Pedro de Almeida Portugal e Vasconcelos, Governor of the São Paulo and Minas Captaincies. During his voyage from the São Paulo Captaincy to the Minas Captaincy, the future Count of Assumar, took the opportunity to visit each village on the way. It would not be different in the Santo Antônio de Guaratinguetá Village. Messengers of his numerous entourage traveled ahead to warn the village authorities that the governor would arrive soon and therefore, they should provide a welcome banquet. Regardless of his image of a severe and rigid man in his judgments, Dom Pedro was a man who believed in God. Since his arrival would happen in a religious day, it would be necessary plentiful fishing for his entourage. Authorities summoned all fishermen in the region to catch as much as possible. Otherwise, a retaliation could take place. Fearing for their lives, three fishermen, Domingos Garcia, João Alves e Filipe Pedroso, went out to fish. Even knowing it was not the fishing season. They prayed to Our Lady Conception asking for her help and went on casting their fishing net, but with no results. João Alves cast the net again. He felt that there was something caught in the net, removed it from the water, and for his surprise, a clay image of a headless body emerged, smeared with the river silt. Further down the river, once again, the net was cast. They pulled it out but without any enthusiasm… However, the improbable happened: a tiny head emerges caught up in the net. As they moved the head close to the body, everything fit perfectly. It was an image of Our Lady Conception, which by a miracle, they had found in the murky waters of the Paraíba River. Those three humble fishermen knew that epiphany was a sign of God. A miracle! From that day on, everything changed! After they found the image, fishing was abundant. In the face of that divine sign, in a wonderful way, initiated the history of the devotion to Our Lady, who people fondly started calling Aparecida. Nowadays, for 300 years in the hills of Aparecida, each pilgrim is filled with joy with the discovery of the Image of Our Lady Aparecida in that October of 1717. In these three centuries of blessings, graces and devotion, we can say that the faith of the Brazilian people contributed to make the biggest Marian Sanctuary in the world in a unique place, with annual visitation of over 12 million pilgrims, transforming the place in a great center of acceptance, pilgrimage and evangelization.
