Sobre o Selo
Essa emissão traz o quinto signo do zodíaco: Leão. A arte do selo apresenta elementos que simbolizam esse signo. No canto superior esquerdo, aparece seu ícone, que representa a juba do leão. No topo, duas faixas na cor cinza delimitam o espaço onde está inserido o nome e o intervalo de tempo governado pelo signo. Logo abaixo, uma faixa de cor vermelha representa o elemento “fogo” que rege os nascidos leoninos. Ao centro estão a imagem de um leão e o esquema de representação de sua constelação, uma das mais antigas, e que também é uma das mais fáceis de identificar no céu por conta de suas estrelas brilhantes de alta magnitude. Os povos antigos consideravam Regulus, sua estrela Alfa, a mais poderosa.

“Não me pergunte o que o céu pode fazer por você, mas de que maneira você há de se orientar para engrandecer o Universo com sua presença”, é com essa frase que, ao longo do tempo, encontrei a maneira de indicar às pessoas que a Astrologia não é o estudo de como o céu influencia os seres humanos, mas o conhecimento que nos ajuda a entender o lugar que ocupamos no colossal organismo inteligente que chamamos de Universo. Por meio dessa afirmação deixamos de lado o vício comum de nos eximirmos de nossas responsabilidades, pois, se não o fizéssemos, transferiríamos às virtudes e vícios dos signos do Zodíaco uma nova justificativa para afirmar que não teríamos opção sobre sermos como somos ou agirmos como agimos. Nossos signos são a indicação de qual seria nossa serventia no Universo, o que responde a esse pressentimento nosso de que deve haver um lugar para nós no Universo, chamando a isso poeticamente de “missão”. Não se engane ninguém, porém, de que talvez seria suficiente nascer para cumprir essa “missão”. Não é! É preciso ir ao encontro dela, mesmo que orientados apenas por ideias vagas e imprecisas, mas que o estudo da Astrologia pode esclarecer e ajudar a utilizar. É nessa linha de compreensão que os signos do Zodíaco se apresentarão a nós como verdadeiros portais cósmicos através dos quais se distribuem as potências cosmogônicas que concorrem para a criação, preservação e reintegração da realidade. E, assim também, as pessoas que nascem em cada um dos signos podem encontrar neste parâmetro a identidade e a orientação sobre o lugar que ocupam no Universo. Com certeza, fazendo bom uso da Astrologia, chegaremos, um dia, a pensar em nós mesmos integrados ao Universo, muito diferente do que é agora, em que essa palavra Universo parece se referir sempre a eventos muito distantes e inatingíveis. Nós somos parte integrante do Universo e a Astrologia é o caminho que conduz a entender o que isso significa e a orientar sobre o melhor uso possível dessa condição. Leão O brilho, exuberância e opulência que se manifesta através de todas as pessoas que nascem neste signo indica, com certeza, o verdadeiro destino humano e, também, de que aquilo que está escrito no céu para nosso reino humano é bem diferente daquilo que recebemos através de nossa educação civil e secular. Nossa programação, aquilo que nos torna civilizados, vai fortalecendo o comportamento de predadores, de que nascemos para nos servir de tudo que a natureza oferece, porém, o brilho do signo de Leão é indicativo claro de que nosso verdadeiro destino não se mede pelo que pegamos da natureza, mas por aquilo que ofereçamos através de nossas obras e que acrescente beleza, verdade e bondade ao mundo. Não devemos nos enganar com chavões e frases de efeito a respeito da importância deste signo, porque apesar de ser tido como uma dimensão do egoísmo e do ensimesmamento, se assim fosse, o Sol, que é o regente de Leão, deixaria de nos brindar com sua luz e calor, já que guardaria tudo para si. Pelo contrário, o Sol é uma manifestação de amor, não guarda nada para si, se vira do avesso para oferecer ao seu sistema de planetas todo o substrato necessário para que os reinos da natureza construam seus próprios destinos. Por isso, que as pessoas nascidas neste signo pareçam egoístas, já que estão sempre querendo a atenção de todo mundo, isso é apenas uma descrição superficial do que, de verdade, é o significado de Leão. Leoninos e leoninas chamam a atenção sobre si, mas de uma forma inadvertida, já que estão sempre se desdobrando para fazer com que as pessoas com que se relacionam se sintam bem com suas presenças e que, também, tenham recursos e plataforma sólida o suficiente para se desenvolverem melhor. Isso não tem nada de egoísta, essa é uma clara manifestação de amor, porém, de um tipo de amor que não é condizente com a ideia romântica que foi sendo construída a esse respeito. É o amor cósmico, a abnegação que permite que a fonte original de vida que está oculta no coração de cada entidade do Universo vire do avesso e se mostre com toda sua intensidade. Por isso mesmo as pessoas que nascem neste signo são atraídas pelo palco, porque se expondo mais do que outras pessoas aceitariam, eles e elas encontram a oportunidade de, irradiando seu brilho, melhorarem, dentro dos seus alcances, a vida de todas as pessoas com que têm contato, as conhecidas, mas também as desconhecidas. Não se deve, por isso, imaginar que as pessoas de Leão sejam mais egoístas do que as outras, apenas têm a mesma dose de egoísmo que qualquer outra pessoa civilizada teria.

About the Stamp
This issue carries the fifth sign of the zodiac: Leo. The art of the stamp features elements that symbolize this zodiac sign. In the upper left corner, there is a icon which represents the lion’s mane. At the top, two gray bands delimit the space where the name of this zodiac sign and the time interval governed by the sign are inserted. Below, a strip of red color represents the element “fire” that governs the leonine people. At the center are the image of a lion and the schematic representation of its constellation, one of the oldest, which is also one of the easiest to identify in the sky because of its bright stars of high magnitude. The ancient people considered Regulus, its Alpha star, the most powerful.

“Do not ask me what heaven can do for you, but in what way you will orient yourself to magnify the Universe with your presence,” it is with this phrase that, over time, I have found a way to tell people that Astrology is not the study of how heaven influences humans, but the knowledge that helps us understand the place we occupy in the colossal intelligent organism we call the Universe. Through this affirmation we have left aside the common vice of exempting ourselves from our responsibilities, for if we did not, we would transfer to the virtues and vices of the signs of the Zodiac a new justification to affirm that we would have no choice about being as we are or acting as we act. Our zodiac signs are an indication of our usefulness in the Universe, which responds to this presentiment of ours that there must be a place for us in the Universe, calling it poetically “mission.” Make no mistake, however, that perhaps it would be enough to be born to fulfill this “mission.” It is not! It is necessary to go meet it, even if guided only by vague and imprecise ideas, but which the study of Astrology can clarify and help to use. It is in this line of understanding that the signs of the Zodiac will present themselves as true cosmic portals through which the cosmogonic powers that contribute to the creation, preservation and reintegration of reality are distributed. And so, too, the people who are born in each of the zodiac signs can find in this parameter the identity and orientation about the place they occupy in the Universe. Certainly, making good use of Astrology, we will one day think of ourselves integrated into the Universe, very different from what it is now, in which this word Universe always seems to refer to very distant and unattainable events. We are an integral part of the Universe and Astrology is the path that leads to understanding what this means and to guiding us about the best possible use of this condition. Leo The brightness, exuberance and opulence that manifests through all the people born in this zodiac sign indicates, of course, the true human destiny, and also that what is written in heaven for our human kingdom is very different from what we receive through of our civil and secular education. Our programming, that which makes us civilized, will strengthen the behavior of predators, from which we are born to serve everything that nature offers, but the brightness of the Leo sign is indicative of our true destiny is not measured by what we take from nature, but from what we offer through our work and that adds beauty, truth and goodness to the world. We should not deceive ourselves with phrases and clichés about the importance of this zodiac sign, because although it is considered as a dimension of selfishness and self-absorption, if it were so, the Sun, who is the regent of Leo, its light and heat, since it would keep everything to itself. On the contrary, the Sun is a manifestation of love, it keeps nothing to itself, turns inside out to offer to its system of planets all the substrate necessary for the kingdoms of nature to build their own destinies. Therefore, that the people born in this zodiac sign seem selfish, since they are always wanting the attention of everyone, this is only a superficial description of what, in truth, is the meaning of Leo. Leonine people call attention to themselves, but in an inadvertent way, since they are always unfolding to make the people they relate to feel good about their presence and who, also, have the resources and platform solid enough to develop better. This is not selfish, this is a clear manifestation of love, but a type of love that is not consistent with the romantic idea that was being built in this respect. It is cosmic love, the self-denial that allows the original source of life that is hidden in the heart of each entity of the Universe to turn inside out and show itself with all its intensity. That’s why the people born in this sign are attracted to the stage, because if they expose themselves more than other people would accept, they find the opportunity to, radiating their brilliance, improve, within their reach, the lives of all people with that have contact, the known, but also the unknown. One should not therefore imagine that the people of Leo are more selfish than the others, only have the same amount of selfishness as any other civilized person would have.
